St.
Mark's is a musical church - not just where music is performed,
but rather a place where music and worship are woven together.
In the Episcopal
church, our musical heritage is one of the world's richest and
most deeply spiritual. For over a thousand years, Anglican
church music has evolved as an extremely diverse art that encompasses
many different forms.
Worship
in the classic Christian tradition is a sacred drama in which
all participate and contribute to the highest level possible.
Our worship services are a harmonious blending of liturgical components,
both sung and said.
The
Organist and Choirmaster is R. Craig Chotard.
He has been in this position at St. Mark's since 1971 and is one
of the most respected Anglican church musicians in the country.
